We at VIS Systems were proudly appointed to provide temporary site security and visual monitoring for the Swizzels Sweet Factory project in Cheshire, delivered by Caddick Construction.
The project required a reliable, non-intrusive solution capable of protecting a live construction site over a long programme, without reliance on fixed power or permanent infrastructure.
The site needed to remain secure throughout multiple phases of work, while also providing clear visibility of activity for site management and stakeholders.
The Solution
We deployed a full scale security package that was comprised of solar-powered CCTV towers, wireless CCTV cameras, remote monitoring, and time-lapse technology.
Our Solar CCTV towers were positioned to cover key access points that may be most vulnerable, this includes housing valuable items such as materials storage areas, and higher-risk zones.
The wireless, solar-powered setup allowed instant installation and easy repositioning as the site layout evolved.
All cameras were connected to our professional monitoring centre, providing out-of-hours surveillance and fast incident response.
Time-lapse cameras were installed to capture consistent visual records of the project, supporting progress tracking and stakeholder reporting across the build period that is on going until 2026.
The Result
Our security solutions, working together in tandem, delivered continuous protection across the duration of the project, helping to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access. Remote monitoring ensured incidents could be identified quickly, while the visible CCTV presence acted as a strong on-site deterrent.
The use of solar-powered and wireless CCTV systems removed the need for fixed utilities, allowing Caddick Construction to adapt security coverage as works go on. Time-lapse footage provided a clear, reliable visual record of the project from start to completion.
