The construction of Lancashire’s new Pendle Police Station represents a critical public sector development; as a high security facility, the project required exceptional levels of site control throughout the build programme which we were proud to provide.
As expected for a high security building, construction site security was a priority from day one, at VIS Systems we were selected to provide a rounded solution capable of operating continuously and sustainably.
Our Role in the Project
VIS Systems worked closely with Willmott Dixon to design and execute a multi-layered construction site security package tailored to the demands of a police facility build.
Our solutions used included:

- Remote CCTV monitoring
- Rapid-deployment CCTV pods
- Facial recognition access control
- Time and attendance tracking
- Manned security guards
These systems delivered full perimeter protection, with site access control, and real-time visibility of workforce activity from anywhere.
Our Solar CCTV towers and wireless systems ensured reliable coverage while supporting sustainability goals and reducing reliance on temporary power.
All the while, facial recognition and time and attendance systems strengthened security when it came to access control and compliance, so that only authorised personnel were on site.
To monitor such activity, we offered remote monitoring, allowing security teams to respond immediately to incidents, protecting assets and maintaining site control during construction.
