Morgan Sindall has been appointed to lead the transformational £20 million Accrington Town Square scheme, secured by Levelling Up Fund support plus contributions from Lancashire County Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
This is a huge scale construction project, as it works to revitalise three iconic heritage buildings:
- Victorian Market Hall: To be reimagined as a food & drink destination
- Burtons Chambers: To be refurbished into modern co‑working and event space
- Market Chambers: To be upgraded into a cultural, arts and heritage venue
Morgan Sindall commenced enabling works in early 2024, preparing the site ahead of full refurbishment.
Our Role Within This Project
VIS Systems contributed to safeguarding the site during this sensitive urban regeneration, deploying solar-powered CCTV towers, wireless cameras, and 24/7 AI-enabled monitoring to uphold security efficiently and sustainably.
